Cookie Policy
Last updated:
This page explains, in plain terms, how loscaballosmodelcars.es handles cookies and similar storage technologies when you browse our yacht charter site or send us an enquiry for a day charter in the Bay of Palma or a longer itinerary along the coast. It is written for anyone visiting the site, whether you are comparing a sport-yacht for an afternoon out or planning a multi-day charter, and it sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which covers what happens to the personal details you give us once you reach out.
We keep this part of the site deliberately simple: no cookies are planted on your device by us, and no outside analytics or advertising network is allowed to track you here.
Storage and Requests on This Site
- Cookie-notice preference (local storage)
- Remembers that you have closed the cookie notice so it does not reappear on every page. Local storage, kept until you clear it or it is overwritten.
- Selected yacht (session storage)
- Remembers which yacht you clicked on so the enquiry form can be pre-filled with that boat. Session storage, deleted automatically when you close the tab or submit the form.
- Visit identifiers (local storage)
- Two random identifiers, for your visitor and your current session, used by our own visit-measurement script. Local storage, expires 30 days after your last visit; can be cleared in the browser at any time.
- Google Fonts (third-party request)
- Loads the typefaces shown on the site from Google's servers. No cookie is set for us, but Google receives the visitor's IP address when the font files are requested.
- jsDelivr CDN – intl-tel-input (third-party request)
- Loads the phone-number input library used in the enquiry form. No cookie is set for us, but the CDN receives the visitor's IP address when the script is requested.
Cookies and Similar Technologies in Short
A cookie is a short piece of data that a site asks your browser to keep and send back on later visits, usually so the site can recognise you or remember a choice you made. Local storage and session storage do a similar job but the data stays only in your browser rather than being sent with every request; session storage disappears as soon as the tab is closed, while local storage stays until it is cleared or expires.
Spanish Law 34/2002 on information society services (LSSI-CE), Article 22.2, requires us to tell you clearly what we store on your device and, for anything that is not strictly necessary, to ask for your consent first. This page is how we meet that duty.
No Cookies, No Outside Trackers
loscaballosmodelcars.es does not set any cookies of its own, and we do not run third-party analytics, advertising pixels or social-media trackers of any kind. There is no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel and no advertising retargeting script on this site.
What we do run is our own, first-party visit-measurement script, served from our own domain rather than from an outside analytics company. It records pages viewed, time spent on each page, the site that referred you, any campaign parameters carried in the link (such as UTM tags or an ad click id), your device type, browser, operating system, screen size, browser language, and the country worked out from your IP address. The IP address itself is not stored. If you send an enquiry or tap a WhatsApp or phone link, that action is linked to the same visit so we can see which channel brought the booking request, which helps us keep our sunset-cruise and multi-day offerings pointed at the right audience.
What We Keep in Your Browser
Beyond the measurement identifiers above, the site keeps two small, purely functional entries in your browser, described in the table on this page: one remembers that you dismissed the cookie notice, and the other remembers which yacht you were looking at so the enquiry form opens with that boat already selected. Neither entry contains your name, email, phone number or any other contact detail, and the yacht-selection entry is removed as soon as you close the tab or send the form.
Third-Party Requests Your Browser Makes
To display the site correctly, your browser also loads two outside resources:
- Web fonts from Google Fonts, so the text on the site appears in the intended typeface; Google receives the visitor's IP address when the font files are requested.
- The intl-tel-input phone-number library from the jsDelivr content delivery network, used in the enquiry form's phone field; the CDN receives the visitor's IP address when the script is loaded.
Neither of these providers sets a cookie on our behalf, and we do not pass any personal data to them beyond the IP address that any web request naturally reveals.
WhatsApp Buttons Do Nothing Until Clicked
The WhatsApp buttons on the site set nothing in your browser on their own. Only when you actually tap one do we record that click, together with the page URL, the referring site, your browser language and the pre-filled message text, in our own booking system, before opening WhatsApp. From that point, the conversation runs inside WhatsApp itself, under WhatsApp's own privacy policy, which we do not control.
Managing Storage in Your Browser
Every modern browser lets you review and delete local storage, session storage and any cookies through its settings, usually under a privacy or site-data section. Clearing this data will remove the cookie-notice preference, the pre-filled yacht selection and the 30-day visit identifiers described above; it has no effect on the booking enquiry itself once it has reached our team. Blocking these entries will not stop you from browsing the site or sending an enquiry, though the cookie notice may reappear and the yacht pre-fill may not work.
Future Changes and Your Rights
If we ever decide to add an optional cookie, for example for a marketing tool, we will update this page first and ask for your consent before it is set, in line with Article 22.2 of the LSSI-CE. We will not backdate that consent to earlier visits.
Questions about this page, or about any storage described here, can be sent to [email protected]; we aim to answer within one month and may ask you to confirm your identity first. If you believe your rights under Spanish data protection or e-privacy rules have not been respected, you can lodge a complaint with the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD) at www.aepd.es.
